Northern Suburbs Community Centre Inc is a large-scale charity established in 1983. Their main activity is registered as economic, social and community development primarily serving general community in australia.
We are often the first point of call for vulnerable community members providing information and support in a non threatening environment where people feel comfortable in a crisis. We work at the grass roots level and are run from volunteers and workers from the local community, bringing people together to make our community a better place. Using a community development model we serve as a vital community resource providing a range of programs and services such as: Family Support, Vacation Care Programs, Adjunct Care Service, Community Outreach, Community Garden, Community Based Op Shops, Child and Family Services, Community Groups, Parenting Groups, Everyday Literacy Programs, Youth Arts Programs, Young Parent Groups, Mens Groups, Learner Driver Mentor Program, Community Internet Services. Weekly 2nd Bite Food Programs supporting up to 20 families and individuals. Weekly community lunches and cooking programs supporting up to 25 people. Gardening and Community and Backyard Vegie Blitz. Community Van Outings, social Art Classes, First Aid Training, Centrelink Online Training Sessions, NILS, . we provide a relaxing meeting place for all members of the community and we offer time out, family support, recreational and educational.
