O. L. Society Limited

Also known as “Overland Magazine”, O. L. Society Limited is a medium-scale charity established in 1990. Their main activity is registered as culture and arts primarily serving general community in australia.

Over the course of 2018, Overland produced eleven separate publications: four editions of an outstanding print journal; six online-only editions of fiction, poetry, nonfiction and new and experimental works; and a lively, year-long online cultural magazine that published original work daily. The magazine also held nine events panels at the Art & Industry Festival, the Emerging Writers Festival, the Feminist Writers Festival, a never-before attempted VR event at the Digital Writers Festival, a Judith Wright Poetry Prize event in Sydney, a workshop at the National Young Writers Festival in Newcastle, a small political cartooning workshop, and an end-of-year comedy debate and launch in Melbourne. Overland again ran five prestigious literary competitions, as well as the annual week-long fundraiser Subscriberthon, and also sponsored a young Tasmanian writer to attend the 2018 First Nations Australia Writers Network (FNAWN) National Workshop.
