Hear No Evil - Australian Deaf Dog Rescue

Hear No Evil - Australian Deaf Dog Rescue is a small-scale charity established in 2014. Their main activity is registered as animal adoptions primarily serving animals.

HNE continued to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome deaf (and other differently-abled) dogs in need. All dogs rescued by HNE were fully vet-worked including desexing and received the training they required to enable them to be adopted into carefully selected homes. Dogs bought into the rescue came from a multitude of locations across Australia - various pounds/shelters, transfers from other rescues and private surrenders.HNE also continued to work to educate the public on responsible pet ownership - with a particular focus on deaf dogs. Additional support was also provided to staff in various shelters/pounds to aid them in better managing deaf dogs in their care. Further work was undertaken this year to provide more support to cats in need - particularly differently-abled (primarily blind) cats.
