Sea Turtle Foundation continues to act as an advocate for marine turtle conservation in Australia, through research, education and action. While there was a significant impact on the organization due to Covid 19, in the past year the Sea Turtle Foundation was involved with the following activities: Turtle tracking programs; which have increased understanding of turtle movements around Australia and the importance of certain areas for these creatures. Turtle Health Research, which investigate gut passage time in juvenile sea turtles to help understand the impact of certain food and foreign objects (such as plastics) in a turtle's digestive tract. Turtle rescue and rehabilitation support as needed. Sea Turtle Symposium, the focus of which was on emerging techniques to assess the health and treatment options for debilitated sea turtles.
