Breast Screen Victoria Inc

Also known as “BreastScreen Victoria”, Breast Screen Victoria Inc is a large-scale charity established in 1992. Their main activity is registered as breast cancer primarily serving females.

BreastScreen Victorias (BSV) purpose is the promotion and coordination of breast cancer screening, reading and assessment services in Victoria. During 2019/2020, BSV continued to provide education for eligible women and the wider community about breast health and encouraged women in the target age group of 50 to 74 year old to have regular breast cancer screening to maximise the early detection of breast cancer. This was done through reminder letters and promotional strategies. During 2019/2020 BSV delivered 218,130 free breast screens throughout Victoria. COVID-19 made this a difficult year for BreastScreen Victoria, as it was necessary to suspend screening services between late March and early May.
