Desert Pea Media Incorporated

Desert Pea Media Incorporated is a medium-scale charity established in 2001. Their main activity is registered as culture and arts primarily serving aboriginal and torres strait islander people.

DPM works with Indigenous young people in regional and remote areas of Australia. We focus on reinvigorating traditional storytelling culture, using contemporary storytelling techniques and audio-visual media to foster social and cultural dialogue. We facilitate conversation through popular cultural creative forms such as music and film. By speaking in a language young people understand we form genuine authentic connections and achieve significant cultural and social outcomes. DPMs cultural process, developed to empower young people, Elders and communities, amplifies the voices of Original Nations people.
