For 60 years Centacare Brisbane has been the social services arm of the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Brisbane. Our community services aim to support individuals and groups to build community capacity and strong relationships with family, friends and community. We have been providing personalised services to people with a disability for over 30 years. Our experienced staff will meet with you to find out about your dreams and aspirations and work with you to tailor support that will help you reach your full potential. We understand that things can change, so we offer a flexible service that ensures you can continue to live your life, your way. Centacare is a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service provider and were ready to support you to access the scheme, achieve your goals and plan for the future. Our Pastoral Ministries provide a range of services in the community that include health care and correctional institutions, throughout the Archdiocese of Brisbane. Everyday, our staff are making a difference and providing pastoral care to a growing number of individuals and their families through: Hospital Chaplaincy Prison Chaplaincy Indigenous support Seafarers support Psychiatric Pastoral Care Centacares Mental Health Support Services has a personalised approach to recovery. We encourage individuals independence and social participation in their community. Our programs respond to people experiencing mental illness and life challenges. We work with individuals living with mental illness and their families and carers through community and in home based services, peer support, advocacy and family intervention counselling, mediation, education and skills development. Services support individuals to develop and maintain their ability to manage their day-to-day lives. Programs are designed for people to take back control of their lives, overcome obstacles and start living a life full of meaning, hope and optimism. Centacare Domestic and Family Violence Services have been established to support women and children experiencing domestic and family violence. We offer services across: the Sunshine Coast and Hinterland region the Fraser Coast the Gold Coast Kingaroy and South Burnett regions Brisbane (inner city). These services include: domestic and family violence court support outreach counselling, information and referral police referrals support groups for women affected by domestic and family violence safety upgrades to ensure your home is safe community education and awareness. Our family and relationship education services are aimed at assisting couples and families in their relationships. Trained facilitators support couples
