Galambila Aboriginal Corporation

Galambila Aboriginal Corporation is a large-scale charity established in 2017. Their main activity is registered as other health service delivery primarily serving aboriginal and torres strait islander people.

Our charity runs an Aboriginal Health Service in Coffs Harbour, NSW, which covers communities from Urunga (Sth) to Dorrigo (Wst) and up to Woolgoolga (Nth). We provide a comprehensive wrap-around health service based on the needs of our community. In the 2016/2017 year we provided the following services from our clinic - GP and nursing, child health, chronic care, exercise and diet, mental health, social work, elders groups, school health, hearing, podiatry, tobacco, cessation, optometry, vascular health, outreach services and other Allied Health services. We also provide transport to assist those who would otherwise be unable to attend our service. We operate through a mix of Commonwealth and State funding, which is supported by providing a bulk billing service to our community. By combining these funding streams we are able to address theneeds of our sick, poor, disadvantaged and aged community members by providing access to a high quality health service providing a range of chronic to acute treatments to improve quality of life and to provide equal access to treatment. We also assist these groups by providing education on diet and exercise to both our youth and the elderly to enable them to pursue a better quality of life through their own actions.
