U3A Stonnington Inc is a small-scale charity established in 1989. Their main activity is registered as other education primarily serving adults - aged 65 and over.
Our principal objective remains directed at educational, cultural, social and associated activities for older people, generally 60+. These activities are provided in response to members interests , and in line with the accommodation we have at our disposal. we have reviewed this and selectively added new activities in response to members requests. We continue to review and examine further educational and recreational activities. Our major member services are: current affairs, film, music, art, books and poetry, science and technology, foreign languages, chess, bridge, mah-jong, increased guided walks and excursions. Lectures are on a wide variety of subjects and are one off or over several sessions.
