Bio-R Oz is a small-scale charity established in 2007. Their main activity is registered as biodiversity primarily serving animals environment general community in australia.
BioR's mission is to rebuild habitat for Australian wildlife at the scale required to halt the loss of biodiversity, with a current focus in South Australia. This year, our principal work was the conservation of land, flora and fauna, while we also provided information and education about the natural environment and carried on research about the natural environment. Our major contribution was our continued on-ground restoration works at Frahns Farm, a 550-ha property in the Monarto region, where we managed a kangaroo-proof fence and previous plantings (e.g., watering over summer); prepared 12 hectares for direct seeding of native grasses and planting of 23,000 mixed species tubestock; conducted research into wildlife use of reconstructed habitat; and educated and provided information and field days for the community. We also provided Allocasuarina tubestock for the recovery of Glossy Black Cockatoos in response to the devastating, large-scale bushfire on Kangaroo Island.
