ASD Learning Ltd

Also known as “The Sycamore School”, ASD Learning Ltd is a large-scale charity established in 2015. Their main activity is registered as primary and secondary education primarily serving general community in australia.

ASD Learning endeavours to improve the lives of people on the autism spectrum through holistic educational options, supported through allied health and psychology professionals, as well as services that support their families, care networks and communities. Our aim is to improve the life outcomes for these people by providing an educational program that supports pathways to further study and employment. As people on the autism spectrum have the highest rates of unemployment among the general population of people with a disability, we focus our supports on building independence, and everyday life skills. The Sycamore School is the mechanism which we use to deliver our services to children from prep through to year 10. All of our students are on the autism spectrum, each who require support with social, emotional, behavioural, and communication development to learn. As is the case with many people on the autism spectrum, many of our students have co-morbid diagnosis of mental health conditions and other neurological conditions such as Tourettes Syndrome, Depression, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and PostTraumatic Stress Disorder. Allied health professionals support educators to deliver a program that focuses on then individual needs, goals and aspirations of each student. Students have access to both group and individual therapy sessions, and support from a Social Worker for those who experience mental health issues, and their families who also require support. Our approach works to guide our students not just academically, but to provide them with the strategies to support themselves independently in our communities.
